Ing. Gladys T. Nieves Vázquez, presidenta de EDP University por los pasados 27 años y empresaria en diversas industrias tales como: alquileres y hotelería. Ha liderado varias iniciativas en Puerto Rico entre ellas: ubicar a la isla como destino académico y ha desarrollado Congresos Internacionales en temas de Educación e Investigación.
Uno de los proyectos más significativos como presidenta de EDP University es el desarrollo de la Modalidad de Adultos del Grado Asociado en Enfermería (MAGAE), educando enfermeros no residentes en la Isla desde 2008. Anualmente, llegan a Puerto Rico más de 1000 estudiantes que aportan a la economía de los municipios que impactan entre ellos: Hato Rey, San Sebastián, Manatí, Humacao, Villalba y Caguas.
Preside la Junta del Centro para Emprendedores, es la vicepresidenta de la Asociación de Colegios y Universidades Privadas de PR (ACUP), miembro de la Junta de directores de la Asociación de Educación Privada de Puerto Rico, Presidenta de la Junta del Hispanic Educational Technology Services (HETS) y miembro de la Asociación Productos Hechos en Puerto Rico.
Propietaria del Hotel Nest localizado en el mismo corazón de Río Piedras y a pasos del Tren Urbano el cual conecta universidades, hospitales y otras industrias. En el 2022, debutó como escritora del Libro Mamita: lo que me quedo junto a su hermana Bruny en colaboración con la Editorial de EDP University. En el 2023 fue coautora del libro Women Who Lead – Reframing Perspectives.

Gladys T. Nieves Vázquez, professional industrial engineer, president of EDP University for the past 27 years, and businesswoman in various industries such as: rentals and hotels. She has led several initiatives in Puerto Rico, among them: positioning the island as an academic destination and has developed International Conferences on Education and Research issues.
One of the most significant projects as president of EDP University is the development of the Adult Modality of the associate degree in nursing (MAGAE – by its acronym in Spanish), educating non-resident nurses on the Island since 2008. Annually, more than 1,000 students arrive in Puerto Rico who contribute to the economy of the municipalities that impact among them: Hato Rey, San Sebastián, Manatí, Humacao, Villalba and Caguas.
Currently, she chairs the Board of the Center for Entrepreneurs, is the Vice President of the Association of Private Colleges and Universities of PR (ACUP), member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Private Education of Puerto Rico, President of the Board of Hispanic Educational Technology Services (HETS) and member of the Association of Products Made in Puerto Rico.
Owner of the Hotel Nest, located in the very heart of Río Piedras and a few steps from the Urban Train. In 2022, she made her debut as an author of the book Mamita: Con lo que me quedo with her sister, in collaboration with the EDP University Publishing House. In 2023, she co-author the book Women Who Lead – Reframing Perspectives.
